Community Living offers support and services to individual residents in a PMCS house, apartment, or townhome, tailored to their specific needs. Our team of dedicated direct support professionals (DSPs) are extensively trained to provide personalized care and assistance. They play a pivotal role in nurturing individuals’ independence, skill development, and active participation in community life, fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment for all.
Our DSPs assist with basic activities of daily living (includes personal everyday tasks like bathing and routine personal hygiene; dressing and changing clothes; eating; mobility assistance; toileting); Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL) that include the following tasks or activities – meal preparation; performance of light chores incidental to the personal care assistance provided to the participant; grocery shopping; nutritional planning; management of finances and cash handling; telephone usage and other appropriate means of communication; reading; and planning and decision-making.
